Herb Profile
Nettle is a very nutritious tonic herb, traditionally used to strengthen and support postpartum mothers and help increase milk supply. It contains water-soluble iron, magnesium, and calcium.
Fennel Seeds have galactogenic properties which means they increase milk production via prolactin production. Fennel is also high in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and fibre. Fennel has calming digestive properties and has been shown to help with infant colic.
Aniseed is a galactogue helping to support milk production and is also a great digestive tonic helping to relieve gas and aid digestion.
Lemon Balm is a nervine herb. It is added to the formula to help with stress relief and support the nervous system as a relaxed mother is able to breastfeed easier.
Caraway Seeds are a galactogue helping to increase milk supply while also decreasing colic in the breastfed baby.
